We’re Getting Married!

Their love story began in Normal, Alabama, where they both attended Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University. The first day they met, freshman year in the Knight Complex cafeteria, James sat down at a table where Diamond and friends were sitting and started a conversation. A few days after, they became friends and would debate different topics to challenge each others different perspectives. In 2014, James and Diamond started dating soon after they met, and for the next few years, they were inseparable. They explored the beautiful campus together, savoring every moment they could spend with each other. In 2019, James and Diamond decided to take a break to find their own paths as newly young adults and remained close friends. In 2021, they reconnected and soon realized that they were meant to be together. They started dating again and fell even more deeply in love than before. In 2022, during Diamond’s birthday weekend, James surprised her with a birthday trip to Savannah, Georgia. In the middle of all the festivities of the day, James took Diamond to the beautiful Forsyth Park for canvas painting; during the canvas art reveals he got down on one knee and asked Diamond to be his wife. Tears of joy filled Diamond’s eyes as she said yes, and they began embarked on a new adventure together. As they began to plan their wedding, James & Diamond wanted to make their wedding extra special and decided to have it in Cancún, surrounded by their loved ones and the breathtaking scenery of the city. James and Diamond can't wait to start their lives together as the Winfreys, knowing that they have each other's love and support for the rest of their lives. And after all these years, they’ve realized that their love is not just a fairytale, but a beautiful journey that they will continue to cherish every day of there lives.
