Things To Do

We're so excited to have your company on our big weekend, and we hope you'll take the opportunity to experience (or re-experience) everything that is amazing about Vermont while you're at it! Our top recs below...

Magic Hat Brewing Company

5 Bartlett Bay Road, South Burlington, VT 05403
, (802) 658-2739

A Vermont mainstay and must-see for the beer connoisseurs among us. 10-minute Uber ride or drive from downtown Burlington.

Church Street Restaurants & Shops

Church Street Restaurants & Shops

Church Street, Burlington, VT 05401

This is sort of the "main drag" for shopping, cafes and restaurants in Burlington. Go visit Banana Republic, where Jeff was once a lowly stock-boy, or head to the Red Onion Cafe for a memorable sandwich.

Leunig's Bistro

115 Church Street, Burlington, VT 05401
, (802) 863-3759

Great dining spot if you're craving steak frites, swordfish loin and/or crispy quail breast. Oh you fancy, huh?

Church Street Tavern

103 Church Street, Burlington, VT 05401
, (802) 658-1309

Centrally located bar/restaurant with an (allegedly) decent brunch. Good place to sit outside and people watch.

El Cortijo

189 Bank Street, Burlington, VT 05401
, (802) 497-1668

Quirky 1950s-era diner serving AMAZING tacos and margaritas. Ranks among Norah's favorite restaurants of 2017 (keep in mind that we traveled to a couple dozen countries that year).

The Vermont Pub & Brewery

144 College Street, Burlington, VT 05401
, (802) 865-0500

Another classic Vermont beer spot; a bit more centrally located than Magic Hat.

Oakledge Park

Burlington, VT 05401

Lovely spot for enjoying Lake Champlain. Bring a picnic and/or go for a swim.

Mount Philo

Charlotte, VT 05445

Beautiful (and relatively quick) 2-mile loop trail with stunning views at the top. Trailhead is located about 20 minutes from downtown Burlington. Highly recommend!

Burlington Discover Jazz Festival

156 College Street, Burlington, VT 05401
, (802) 863-7992

Jazzfest is taking place in Burlington from May 31-June 9. Lots of events to check out around town, including some free ones.

Red Onion Cafe

140 Church St, Burlington, VT 05401
, (802) 865-2563

Great sandwiches to eat in or take out. Our friend Cally recommends the chicken salad!

For all the days along the way
