Jigger Inn
The outdoor seating directly beside the 17th fairway of The Old Course is unbeatable for the view and it’s a perfect place for non-golfers to wait while their group plays the Old Course. Decent pub food available!
The Dunvegan Hotel
The Dunvegan is perhaps the most well-known 19th hole in St Andrews, Andrew's dad and brother frequent the bar after a round on "The Old". It is situated a stones throw from the 18th green of the Old Course, and the West Sands beach.
The Keys Bar
Locals bar in the center of town. Small, old school, and with one of the best selections of whisky in the town. Andrew's dad loves it. Andrew's mum loathes it.
The Adamson
The Adamson is in the center of town and has both a great restaurant, and also a super cocktail bar next door.
Tailend Restaurant
If you're looking for fish and chips - look no further than The Tailend. Lots of great seafood options here inclusing fresh scallops and daily seasonal catches of fish and shellfish.
The Seafood Ristorante
Seafood restaurant with great views of the West Sands. It's a 5 minute walk from the center of town.
Jannettas Gelateria
Family-run shop for artisan ice cream, sorbet and frozen yogurt. Grab something from here and then head down the street to stroll around St. Andrews Cathedral and the pier.
Taste (Coffee shop)
Graeme Baxter's favourite place for a cup of coffee. Grab an almond croissant, pastéis de nata, or lemon cake and walk down to The Scores for an elevated view of The Old Course and The West Sands beach.
Balgove Larder
Local produce and meat in a modern farm shop with a cafe. There is also a barn on site that serves steak and red wine, highly recommended!
Old Course
The oldest and most iconic golf course in the world. On Sunday it's closed for play and you're free to walk the entire course.
Balgove Course
The Balgove is the only nine-hole course at the Home of Golf and primarily caters for families, children and beginners. This is where Andrew and his brother learned to play!
West Sands Beach
The main beach in St. Andrews is a 10 minute walk from the town center. It's two miles long and makes for a great walk or run with superb views of the town.
Coastal Path - Rock & Spindle
2-3 hour out-and-back walk along the coast to a strange xenolithic basalt formation. Wear decent footwear and beware of incoming tides!
St Andrews Cathedral
Adjacent to St. Andrews town center are the ruins of the ancient St. Andrews Cathedral. It was built in 1158 and legend says that St. Regulus brought the bones of St. Andrew to this site in the 11th century. Now you can bring your coffee/ ice cream here and admire the old stones!
