Asbury Park is full of our favorite local spots to hang out. You could get a day pass for the beach, explore the boardwalk murals, visit the Silverball Retro Arcade, and enjoy rooftop cocktails at The Asbury Hotel. Some of our favorite spots: Low Dive/Palmetto: Great vibes on the boardwalk, free live music, drinks and food. The Wonder Bar: Classic Asbury Park spot with live music. The Stone Pony Summer Stage: Plan ahead and get tickets for a show, or if you hang out on the boardwalk during a show, you can listen for free! We like to bring our beach chairs. Watermark: Rooftop bar with great vibes and views! R BAR: Our personal favorite in town, New Orleans themed bar with great food, cocktails and live music Cookman Ave: This part of Asbury Park is downtown and has lots of unique shops, bars and restaurants. Some recommendations are Lola's, Bond Street, Talula's, Taka and Johnny Macs.
Some of our favorite Belmar spots are: The beach of course, Joe's Surf Shack, La Dolce Vita, Marina Grille, 9th Ave Pier, Beach Haus Brewery, Kleins, and Offshore Coffee.
Plenty of family fun at Jenkinson's Boardwalk with arcades, aquarium, rides and the beach. Fireworks every Thursday night!
Darcy's Tavern: Without a doubt our favorite place to eat and grab a drink. It is a soccer bar with great people and great food! Pagano's Uva: Where we had our first hangout. They have excellent Italian food, drinks and friendly people. There is a little tiki bar around back in the parking lot during the summer with live music. Hey Peach Bakery: Adorable little bakery with amazing pastries and cappuccinos.
Sandy Hook has a special place in our hearts for adventuring around. Grab a bite to eat at Mule Bar Tavern towards the tip of the hook. There is a fee to drive in to the park during the summer months. Lots of other great water view restaurants right outside of Sandy Hook as well such as Bahr's Landing, Proving Ground and the Seafarer.
