In the beginning of July 2016, Amy Caplan (a good friend of Nomi's) attended a dinner with friends that Noah happened to be at. At the dinner, Noah asked Amy if she had any friends who she thought might be interested in going out with him. She replied, "I have just the girl." Amy asked Nomi if she would be interested in going out with a red head... tattooed... Jew, to which she replied, "duh." Nomi and Noah went on their first date on July 12, 2016. They met at Oak Street Beach. Noah was wearing goofy socks and a shirt that said, "make something awesome." They strolled along the lake until they reached City Winery, and sat down to have a refreshing drink on a hot Chicago day. They hit it off pretty quickly, and enjoyed going on different adventures together that summer including The Museum of Science and Industry and Nashville. The only problem was, Nomi was leaving for a trip for South America for 5 months. Nomi and Noah agreed to do long distance, and although challenging, it proved to be worth it. Nomi got back in May of 2017, came home to Denver to find a job and then spent the summer in Chicago with Noah. In September of 2017, Noah moved out to Denver and the two started a life there. The following summer (2018), they bought a house and moved in with one another, learning new things about each other along the way and on June 9, 2019 in their house, Noah got down on one knee with a touching proposal including breakfast in bed and a journal entry he had been working on for 6 months. When Noah asked, Nomi replied, "YES, YES, YES, YES, YES!" We can't wait to share our next special day with all of you!
