Anel is Noheli's older sister and Alfredo (Fredy) is her brother-in-law. Together since 2012 and married in 2018, Anel and Fredy have embodied the vows "in sickness and in health, to love and cherish always." As padrinos de velación, they serve as an example of marriage, unconditional love, and standing by each other through all the challenges of life. Octaviano and Noheli feel blessed to have them stand with them on their special day.

Andres is Noheli's 4-year old nephew and godson. His infectious energy, happiness, and laughter bring so much love and joy to the whole family. Andres loves getting to play with his Tío, especially since Octaviano shares his love for Pokémon!
Benito
Best Dog
Benito is Noheli and Octaviano's rescue dog and their #1 boy since 2020! He joined the family trip to the Grand Canyon and celebrated with his mama and papa after he heard the news. He provides endless laughs, love, licks, and mayhem into their lives.

Our newest addition to the family! Raven completes our family of four and keeps us on our toes. Her likes are laying in the sun, rolling around on the floor for pets, and sleeping on her papa's chest.

It all started with a Hunger Games pencil pouch...now she can't get rid of her! Noheli and Maddie have been best friends since early high school - quickly bonding over books, tv shows, and the MCU. Buying movie tickets months in advance and getting to the theater 2 hours before the showtime to make sure they got the PERFECT seats. Even though Noheli headed up north and Maddie headed down south for college, they stayed each other's go-to person. Maddie actually gets the credit of bringing the happy couple together! After a long day exploring SF together, Maddie encouraged Noheli to wish Octaviano a happy birthday...and well, the rest is history! Unofficially "twins" since they are born a day apart from each other and actually in the same hospital - they joke that they met in the newborn unit, threw up peace signs, and said "see you in 14 years!"

Short answer, we met in college. Long answer? Noheli helped Nahjah put on her shoes in Baton Rouge, LA at a student leadership conference where they were about to be sworn in to serve on the regional board of the organization. The long answer is always the fun one! Nahjah attended CSU East Bay while Noheli was at Southern Oregon, so they were never supposed to cross paths, but fate had other plans! They instantly clicked and never looked back - Nahjah is one of Noheli's most trusted, ride-or-die, "can't imagine life without her" best friends. From only seeing each other in person 2 times a year to now only living a short drive on I-880 apart, these two have become inseparable. Whether its a boba trip, bonding over being dog moms, or spontaneous facetime call, Noheli can always count on Nahjah to keep it 100% and show up for her.
Aspen Ruo

You don't get to choose your family, but sometimes you get really lucky. Noheli met Aspen through Octaviano's family - she had been dating his younger brother since high school. They became fast friends at family gatherings, bonding over the similar quirks of the Fuerte brothers and joking about how the both of them can never just smile in a picture. Aspen got Noheli into perfumes and sad Korean dramas and Noheli returned the favor by suggesting Aspen read some of her favorite (heartwrenching) books. Side note: if you're reading this, do yourself a favor and read "Gods of Jade and Shadow" by Silva Moreno-Garcia. Noheli and Aspen have formed a close bond over the years, and Noheli couldn't imagine this special day without her.

This young man is a G as it gets. G is my younger brother and we’ve been shenaniganing for 21 years & counting. I love sharing adventures and new experiences with him.
