Minnesota is known for the Mall of America, the largest shopping mall in the U.S.! It has over 500 stores, countless restaurants, an indoor theme park and aquarium, it’s a fun spot to shop at & explore during your stay! 🛍️ Some of our favorite spots to hit up: Beard Papa's, Kura Revolving Sushi, & Great American Cookies
This outdoor park is home to the famous Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture and a version of the LOVE sculpture (shoutout to Philly!), along with dozens of other quirky and creative pieces. It’s right next to the Walker Art Center and free to wander. 🍒
This iconic historic bridge spans the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis. Built in 1883 from beautiful native limestone, it’s now a pedestrian and bike-only bridge with stunning views of the river, city skyline, and nearby waterfalls. (This is where we took our engagement photos! 🥰 )
Known as Minneapolis’s foodie hotspot, North Loop is packed with some of the city’s best restaurants and bars. From upscale dining to casual eats, you’ll find everything from craft cocktails to wood-fired pizzas and innovative menus. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal and soak up the neighborhood’s lively vibe. (Our recommendation is Spoon & Stable, a New American restaurant by James Beard Award-winning chef Gavin Kaysen. We went here for Reuven's 24th birthday 🥳 )
Just across the river from downtown, the U of M campus is full of charm, history, and beautiful views along the Mississippi. Right next door is Dinkytown, a lively, student-filled neighborhood with great coffee shops, cozy bookstores, and tasty local eats. 🍔🍟 Also, Reuven recommends checking out a college football game at the U if you can! Ski-U-Mah! 🏈❤️💛
