Things To Do

Welcome to Minnesooota, aka the Land of 10,000 Lakes! 🛶🌲❄️☃️ Below are some ideas of things to do in the area if you have some extra time :)
Mall of America

Mall of America

60 East Broadway, Bloomington, MN 55425

Minnesota is known for the Mall of America, the largest shopping mall in the U.S.! It has over 500 stores, countless restaurants, an indoor theme park and aquarium, it’s a fun spot to shop at & explore during your stay! 🛍️ Some of our favorite spots to hit up: Beard Papa's, Kura Revolving Sushi, & Great American Cookies

Minnehaha Falls

Minnehaha Falls

Minneapolis, MN 55417

A beautiful 53-foot waterfall tucked right into the city! It’s a peaceful spot to take a walk, snap some photos, and enjoy nature in the heart of Minneapolis. 🌲

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

725 Vineland Place, Minneapolis, MN 55403

This outdoor park is home to the famous Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture and a version of the LOVE sculpture (shoutout to Philly!), along with dozens of other quirky and creative pieces. It’s right next to the Walker Art Center and free to wander. 🍒

Stone Arch Bridge

Stone Arch Bridge

100 Portland Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55401

This iconic historic bridge spans the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis. Built in 1883 from beautiful native limestone, it’s now a pedestrian and bike-only bridge with stunning views of the river, city skyline, and nearby waterfalls. (This is where we took our engagement photos! 🥰 )

North Loop

North Loop

Minneapolis, MN

Known as Minneapolis’s foodie hotspot, North Loop is packed with some of the city’s best restaurants and bars. From upscale dining to casual eats, you’ll find everything from craft cocktails to wood-fired pizzas and innovative menus. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal and soak up the neighborhood’s lively vibe. (Our recommendation is Spoon & Stable, a New American restaurant by James Beard Award-winning chef Gavin Kaysen. We went here for Reuven's 24th birthday 🥳 )

University of Minnesota / Dinkytown

University of Minnesota / Dinkytown

Minneapolis, MN 55414

Just across the river from downtown, the U of M campus is full of charm, history, and beautiful views along the Mississippi. Right next door is Dinkytown, a lively, student-filled neighborhood with great coffee shops, cozy bookstores, and tasty local eats. 🍔🍟 Also, Reuven recommends checking out a college football game at the U if you can! Ski-U-Mah! 🏈❤️💛

Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

1225 Estabrook Drive, Saint Paul, MN 55103

Just a short drive from Minneapolis, Como Park offers beautiful gardens, a free zoo, and peaceful walking trails. It’s a relaxing and family-friendly spot to enjoy nature, see wildlife, and soak up some fresh air. 🌿
