Things To Do

There are so many fun things to do in DC and because our wedding falls on a long weekend, why not take advantage?! Below, we have a few of our favorite spots to visit and places to eat.

Eastern Market

225 7th Street Southeast, Washington, DC 20003

Eastern Market has some amazing vendors! Their outdoor market is open Saturday and Sunday 9am-4pm.

Union Market

1309 5th Street Northeast, Washington, DC 20002

Union Market has some of the best grab-and-go meals and is a 30 minute walk (8 minute drive) from the Royal Sonesta. Some of our favorite places are Maman and Yellow for coffee and pastries, Buffalo & Bergen for bagels, Bun'd Up for bao, and St. Anselm for a nicer dinner.

Ebenezers Coffeehouse

201 F Street Northeast, Washington, DC 20002

Ebenezers is one of our favorite coffee shops in the city. It is a quick 10 minute walk from the Royal Sonesta!

Mélange DC

2108 8th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20001

BEST burgers in the city! We will stand by that!

Sculpture Garden

Washington, DC 20004

This is the spot where we got engaged! It is a great place to spend a nice morning outside with a coffee. It is also right on the National Mall which makes it a quick walk to museums and monuments.

National Mall

Washington, DC

There are so many museums on the National Mall that we love including art museums like The Portrait Gallery, The Renwick, and the National Gallery of Art; and history museums like the Museum of Natural History, the Museum of African American History and Culture, and the Museum of the American Indian (and all of these are free!!). There are also fun paid museums like the International Spy Museum, the Museum of Women in the Arts, and the Building Museum.
