Snorkeling is one of the easiest and most exciting ways to experience the natural beauty held within the waters directly around Catalina Island. Snorkeling on Catalina Island is some of the best anywhere from Lover’s Cove Marine Preserve to Descanso Beach to the Casino Point. Snorkelers come face to face with hundreds of species of fish and invertebrates that call these waters home. Several places offer gear rentals and guided tours.

Wrigley Memorial and Botanic Garden

The Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden is a thirty-minute stroll up Avalon Canyon from town center. Or, take a quick ride by golf cart or bike, or by Garibalidi City Bus. The Botanic Garden is the primary gateway to access one of the Island's most popular hikes, the Garden to Sky Trail (Please note hiking is not permitted after dark).

Sea and Land Tours

This maybe a little Jurassic Park for most people, but it's a cool way to see the closed off part of the island. We recommend the Sea/ boat tours. If you have time Two Harbors is worth it. You will need to pre-book this as it's one of the more popular activities to do.
