Although a bit of a drive from our wedding venue, Sunset Cliffs is worth the trip. If you walk far enough south, you'll end up on Point Loma's sprawling coastal campus. After walking along the cliffs, take a dip in the ocean, try a coffee at OB Beans, or grab some famous fish tacos at Mike's Taco Club.
We went to this historic neighborhood in downtown San Diego for our first date. The area boasts a local farmers market every Saturday morning that covers more than four city blocks. For coffee, try James Coffee Co. For food, try Underbelly or Crack Shack. To recreate our first date, try Civico 1845 for dinner and M Winehouse for a glass of wine and a board game. And for dessert, you can't go wrong with Salt & Straw's homemade ice cream. There are endless options!
This cozy historic coffee house on Coast Hwy has been serving fresh coffee for over four decades. You might want to bring a good book!
Coffee shop, bike shop, and sandwich spot, all in one. What more could you ask for!? Plus, lots of outdoor seating.
This market is a Cardiff staple offering a variety of good eats. It is most famous for its tri-tip, rightly nicknamed "Cardiff Crack."
Similar to Little Italy, the Village is full of good eats, small boutiques, and is only a few minutes walk from the beach. For a good cup of coffee, try Revolution Roasters or Steady State Roasting. For a dinner you won't forget, try Campfire, Gonzo Ramen, or Pizza Port.
Whether you want to try your hand at surfing, you're a cold plunge fanatic, or you just want to lay on the sand for hours, Tamarack is easy to access and has plenty of space to lay out.
San Diego Mexican food is a MUST. Juanita's is a favorite of ours, but it's hard to go wrong no matter where you end up. Jamie's order is usually al pastor tacos or rolled tacos (always topped with lettuce, cheese and guac). Noel loves a good California burrito or adobada tacos.
Rugged wilderness hiking paths in an ecological reserve with sweeping ocean & lagoon views.
