Several trails are accessible from camp. Moments in Time Trail- A self guided nature loop trail that begins at Lake Crescent Lodge. 0.6 miles Marymere Falls Trail- Short out-and-back hike through Pacific Northwest scenery from Lake Crescent, through large towering trees, and encompassing incredible river views. It is one of the most popular trails in Olympic National Park. The trail begins by the Storm King Ranger Station. 1.7 miles Mount Storm King Trail- For panoramic views of Lake Crescent and the surrounding area, tackle this challenging trail with significant elevation gain. The trail climbs steeply the first 2 miles to an "End of Maintained Trail" sign. You may stop here. The last 1/4 mile involves a steep trail with a series of ropes. These ropes can only be used by one person at a time and help hikers ascend and descend. The ropes are not maintained by the park and should be used at your own discretion. 4 miles
Rent a boat from the nearby Lake Crescent Lodge or bring your own small craft to explore the clear blue waters of this glacially carved lake, surrounded by forested mountains. Kayaks and canoes can be rented at concession operated Log Cabin Resort and Lake Crescent Lodge.
We are thrilled to be getting married in a National Park covering nearly a million ares of vast protected wilderness. Make the most of your visit and explore each of the unique ecosystems- Alpine, Coast and Rainforest, all within the park. Favorites sites include Hurricane Ridge, the Hoh Rain Forest, Rialto Beach, Sol Duc Falls, and Ruby Beach. We are guests in this park during a likely busy holiday weekend. Plan your adventure location and timing based on your tolerance for crowds or desire for solitude. Hurricane Ridge Visitors Center has limited parking and limits access after morning capacity is filled. Also consider commute times. Some larger plans may be best fit on Sunday so you don't miss any of Saturday's fun and festivities! We are glad to help you navigate the area or discuss adventure ideas!
Hang out around camp. Bring a book or some binoculars. Kick up your feet and make some new friends. We are planning for games, social activities, and a visit from the NatureBridge educators to help us connect with our surroundings. Details to come.
