Elisa is the sunshine beam in every room! From the moment I saw her & her husband, Camilo, worshipping with the Spanish ministry on Sundays in 2019- I said to myself “if I ever date a brother in Christ, I’d want them to disciple (mentor) us.” And all these years later they’ve been able to do just that! I can’t imagine another couple discipling us in dating & engagement the way we needed as much as they have. I wanted to glean from a family where you saw their love for Christ in how they lived & loved each other, and the Caceres have shown Noble & I so much in how to do that. The light that Elisa is for God is so evident in how she treats her family, others & even the healthy view of herself! Elisa has played such a monumental role in Noble & I’s dating relationship & now season of engagement! Everyone needs a friend like Elisa in their lives -A

If you need a friend that’s going to ride out the toughest storms faithfully with you, look. no. further!! Amanda is THE official ride-or-die friend. Our friendship had a rocky start in 2019 when we set up a hang out together & I never followed up on it. Instead of ignoring me & pretending like it never happened, she let me know how she was feeling about me never meeting up with her. This shocked me as it was the first time a friend had really been honest with me about something like this. Since then, this is indicative of her nature & I love it! She’s not afraid to be real, raw & uncut with her friends & that’s something that deep down every person needs. Amanda is a real one & there was no way that I was walking down the aisle without her being by my side <3 -A

One of my ride-or-die’s in the faith, one of my battle buddy’s in the rockiest season ever (2020). Coralie is just one of those friends who gets it!! You can tell her the most outlandish thoughts in your head & she will be able to meet you with grace, apply truth & spread laughter along the way. Studying the Bible with this woman has been life changing for me- I’ve ended up learning so many more things from her than I could ever imagine. Loyalty, consistency, discipline, light-heartedness with a hint of sass to tie everything together. Coralie, I can’t wait to grow in our friendship for years to come!! Casan & I’s friendship also goes way back to my freshmen year at FIU. From studying the Bible with me to discipling me in my first few years as a disciple- I’ve been able to learn so much from our friendship. Our friendship has had its ups & downs as any friendship does, & I’m thankful that our friendship can be refined with each passing year. Alissa Kissa was one of the women who studied the Bible with me in 2018. I’ll never forget the first time she called me out on my lack of repentance in my life. It was such a turning point back then- I honestly looked at her like ‘wow you have the audacity’ .. the “unmitigated gall” as Jim Carrey’s Grinch would say. But honestly that unmitigated gall in calling me out has changed my life. Seeking true repentance in my discipleship has led me to so many new things in my relationship with God, including marrying such an awesome follower in Christ, that I might never have experienced had I not answered the call to grow deeper in my faith. From studying the Bible with me, to visiting my family in Jax, to being a friend to me til this day. I’m grateful that God used her to play such a pivotal role in my life. Proverbs 27:6 -A

This one right here is a one in a million type of friend!! Prachi & I met through being roommates in the FIU Honors dorm. We lucked out by being the only 2 people staying in a 4 person dorm- one on each side of the dorm! It was giving penthouse lol! Throughout my time living alongside her I got to not only see what true work ethic for the Lord looks like but also how devoted she can be to her friends. I can’t imagine my life without having this rock of a friend by my side & that includes on my wedding day! (Look her name up on Google!! She’s the real deal lol). -A

Isabelle is the sunflower in every room she enters. She’s beautiful inside & out & her energy is so bright that it makes everyone feel different after spending time with her than before. Isabelle & I’s friendship grew after we studied the Bible with a family member of mine. I would have never guessed that our friendship would continue to blossom into a cross-country one. I’ve stayed at her home in Chicago & she’s been to mine in Miami several times. We are total opposites from each other in many ways & yet we’ve been able to continue our friendship for almost half a decade. Isabelle, your faith in God, your bright light & your constant friendship in some of my most troubling times are why I couldn’t imagine walking down the aisle without you by my side. Meagan & I’s friendship had a very organic start. We would see each other at church events & briefly catch up- have a laugh or two & carry on to the next conversation. It wasn’t until the end of 2022 when I tagged along on a girls trip to visit her family in Kansas that I knew that I’d want to continue in a friendship with her, in whatever capacity, for years to come. Meagan is one of the most loyal friends that you will ever meet.. even if you’re not close friends with her- you feel important every time she talks to you. Slowly & steadily getting to know Meags more in 2023 has indirectly shown me so much about life, obeying God, loving others & consistency in things that you set your mind to do. From the study sessions/shenanigans that happened while in the FIU honors dorm to the countless number of vulnerable talks that we’ve had, my time at FIU would’ve looked very different without Chana’s presence. Being that we met in the “jit” days at FIU, we’ve been able to watch each other grow in our relationships with God as well as the maturity that adulting demands of us! Nichana is intentional, loving, gracious, a truth-seeker, creative & she’s a steady-feeler. So when he decided to move to Maine in 2021, there was no question about it—I was going to be there for him, just as he had been for me.
