How We Came to Be

Our story started under the lights and music of a Jason Aldean concert—a night we thought would be just about good songs and good company. Thanks to Jo Barhite, two paths crossed at just the right moment, and neither of us had any idea how meaningful that introduction would become. From the moment we met, something felt natural and familiar, as if we were picking up a conversation we’d begun long ago. What could have been simply a fun night out turned into the start of something neither of us expected, but both of us felt instantly. As Mary entered her first year of teaching and Noah began his final year of college, life was busy and changing fast. Yet somehow, we always found time for each other. Mary even started learning baseball—proof that love makes you curious about the things that matter to the person who matters to you. With every concert, long drive, late-night FaceTime call, and ordinary day we shared, our bond grew stronger. We shared our stories, quirks, dreams, and hopes—and along the way, we became best friends. We’ve supported each other through deadlines, big goals, late practices, early mornings, and all the celebrations and challenges in between. With each season, our love has grown into something steady, joyful, and beautifully simple: a partnership built on laughter, patience, and the comfort of knowing you’ve found your person. Now, as we prepare to start our forever, we feel incredibly grateful. Grateful for that first introduction, for every moment that followed, and for all of you who have been part of our journey. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with the people who mean the most. With love, Mary & Noah
