Like so many modern romances, ours began on Hinge. Sarah noticed that Noah had also gone to school in Iowa and decided to make the first move. Our first date was in August 2022 over coffee and a long walk. It happened to be one of the hottest days of the year, so we were sweaty messes after our walk, but we still had a lot of fun. Looking back, it was a pretty good sign of what was to come. Since then, we’ve built a life together, first in D.C. and now in Baltimore, with our dog, Greta, at the center of it all. We’ve traveled to Spain, Portland, Colorado, Mexico City and beyond, and we love running, cooking with a podcast blasting in the background, rewatching our favorite Seinfeld episodes, and finding excuses to plan our next adventure. Along the way, we’ve grown close with each other’s families and friends, who have been such an important part of our relationship and our lives together. In 2024, Noah proposed in Charleston during a trip for his 30th birthday. He picked a beautiful park, not realizing until later it was where The Notebook was filmed. The ring he gave Sarah is especially meaningful: it was redesigned using the center stone from his grandmother’s ring, a symbol of a marriage that lasted many years. Now we’re looking forward to building our own family and making new memories together — and we can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of that next chapter with all of you.
