Open-air amphitheatre, views, walking & hiking, concerts, yoga on the rocks, great photography opportunities, sometimes movies play too. (around 10 miles from wedding venue)
Wonderful walkable town full of shopping, cute boutiques, and one-of-a-kind restaurants. A personal favorite is the School House Kitchen & Libations which was built inside of the original Arvada schoolhouse and so has such fun creative décor. They also have over 1800 different whiskeys & more than 50 beers. The town is very kid friendly as well. It has a great ice cream shop too! (around 11 miles from wedding venue)
Located along the banks of Clear Creek between the foothills of the Rocky Mountains to the West and two ancient mesas to the East. Historic downtown Golden dates back to the early 1850’s when the first settlers came looking for gold. Lots of restaurants, cafes, galleries, taverns, and shopping. We love this little town!
Around seven miles from the venue!
7286 S Yosemite St #110, Centennial, CO 80112 One of our favorite local breweries. (around 20 miles from wedding venue)
Another one of our favorite local breweries. (around 25 miles from wedding venue)
The groom's favorite! HIGHEST ranked of all the CO dispensaries in my opinion.
“Mex eats & pageantry such as divers plunging into a pool below a 30-ft. waterfall & puppet shows.” Food is not great (except the sopapillas) but it is a one of kind atmosphere that can only be seen. The creators of South Park just bought it. In fact, there is an episode on South Park all about Casa Bonita. Cliff divers, Black Bart’s cave, mining area, gift store, waterfall, and so much more to explore in this 52,000 sq foot restaurant. (around 6 miles from the wedding venue)
For those wanting to go into the mountains, we especially love Georgetown and Idaho Springs. Both have wonderful food and breweries. The well known and love Beau Jo’s in in Idaho Springs and boasts having the best mountain pie (big pizza) around. Georgetown is a wonderful mountain town that can be completely walked (Erin’s done that once or twice). They have wonderful little shops, restaurants, and we recommend their local brewery Guanella Pass Brewing. Expect a 45 min to 1 hour drive to these towns from Lakewood, CO.
