Whitewater rafting on the Rio Chama daily stretch

We will have a selection of 1 and 2-person inflatable rafts, paddles, and PFDs available for anyone who wants to float down the Rio Chama (first come first serve, but we'll try to pick up as many as we can find). This is a self-guided activity. If you are a beginner, please join forces with someone who has whitewater experience - safety is cute! This stretch is a class II and takes about 4 hours to float with just one technical section (Screaming Left). We will have laminated river maps available. The put-in is "Chavez Canyon Boat Launch" (top left in the map) and the take-out is "Big Eddy" (bottom right in map, there is a concrete boat ramp so it's hard to miss!). Both areas have pit toilets. This is not a booze-cruise! Please drink and paddle responsibly and keep your dang PFD on!
