Maid of Honor
For several years, Bethany thought of Ali as the girl who didn't know what an acorn was. Many summers of camping in the Boundary Waters and winters of Christmas caroling later, now she's Ali's best friend and soon to be sister! And now Ali knows what acorns are.
Best Man
Brother to Noah, Daniel has been a consistent life adventure companion. Whether it's talking about feelings, playing some video games while in separate countries, or building an armored wheelchair for paintball, they always enjoy their time together.
Bridesmaid
When Ali and Kayla were 5 years old, they got married in a bathroom stall so that they would never have to be apart. They've never nullified their childhood marriage but Kayla has approved of Noah and given her blessing for Ali's second marriage.
Groomsman
Bobby Olsen met Noah at a campus ministry retreat their freshmen year of college and the rest was history. They later both lived in the White House (a house, that was white) and consistently kept in touch since then. His booming laugh, wise encouragements, and animated stories about Byzantine history are always a blessing to Noah.
Bridesmaid
Ali met Heidi in freshmen orientation at Northwestern College and they've been close ever since. They made perfect roommates since neither cared about the mess that was their room. More recently, they've been eating their way through the best breakfast places in Minneapolis.
Groomsman
If we're being honest, the first time Noah met Jared in college he was a bit intimidated. Noah was bouncy and bright, Jared wore black band t-shirts and had lip piercings. They have both grown a lot since, and after lots of time spent as roommates and sharing good times and bad, their friendship has also grown and will continue to do so.
Bridesmaid
Chelsea and Ali are great travel buddies. They've toured Breckenridge, Colorado and Charleston, South Carolina, and most recently Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. When they aren't touring the world, Chelsea and Ali can be found thrift shopping and bonding over their love of cats.
Groomsman
There are some things all Gregs do, but this Greg in particular has been a great friend to Noah since they were in a bible study their freshmen year of college. He is always generous with his great hosting abilities, fishing mastery, and financial wizardry advice. Greg and Noah look forward to many more good times in the future.
Bridesmaid
The first time Ali met Sunny, Sunny had black hair and practiced her Speech 101 talk about gluten intolerance on Ali. They went on to form the musical duo "Sunny and Ali" not long after, performing at coffee shops. They're still waiting for their big break, but know it's coming soon.
Groomsman
Mauricio Ochoa es un amigo muy bueno para Noah. They met in college and became friends despite Noah apparently encouraging Mauricio to try the Blazing sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings - which he decidedly disliked. Mauricio and Noah have enjoyed their shared love of musicals, photoshop, and volleyball.
Bridesmaid
Mel and Ali made ideal roommates in South Carolina because Mel was exhausted from student teaching and Ali was exhausted from chronic illness. So they watched lots of Friends, New Girl, and Gilmore Girls while trading back massages. Mel made the cookies and Ali licked out the bowl.
Groomsman
Brother of Ali and family friends with Noah for many years, Nick and Noah have enjoyed their adventures on family camping trips together and have bonded over their enjoyment of Star Wars and Chemistry - both of which sometimes sound like another language to those stuck within earshot.
Bridesmaid
Before Ali and Shaila met, people told them both that they would make great friends. Both Brazilian, both studying member care, and obviously both spectacular people. So they did become great friends! Shaila even named her first-born son Noah in honor of Ali's fiance (that's not really why, but his name really is Noah.)
Groomsman
A long time ago (middle school), in a suburb not far away (Chaska)... Chris and Noah were two nerdy middle school friends. Ever since then, their love of exploring lands real and imagined have kept them close and they continue to be good friends to this day. They both have grown taller and more bearded, but remain just as nerdy.
Flower Girl
Chloe is Ali's adorable niece. She's an experienced flower girl for her age, this being her second wedding before her third birthday.
