It all started with a swipe.... Yes, a swipe. Nick and Niki came from similar failed dates after failed dates. Niki took a chance on Nick because - HELLLOO have you seen the man? Her interest grew fonder when she dug further into his love for his recent release of his documentary and common interests. Make sure you ask him about it!! Our conversations had great substance and banter from the beginning and Niki knew right off the bat he was not like any other person she's dated. It was Autumn, when not only the chill in the air grew and the leaves started to change but Niki's life would completely shift for the best! From pumpkin carvings to scary movies on our first date .... it truly was just the beginning of something special!

Where do I even begin?! If you know Nick, the proposal was something far from small and one to remember for a lifetime! It all started, when we took a vacation out West and turned into one of the most memorable and special road trips we had in 2022. We spent time in California enjoying friends, family and great food! From there we explored Vegas by hitting the slots and losing money faster than a blink of an eye at War. We continued our journey through the beautiful Hoover Dam, hiking at Grand Canyon and brunching our way through the cute town of Flagstaff. After that is where the magic happened in Sedona...well kind of. It all began on Friday, July 23rd, Niki had this brilliant idea to check-in our Airbnb early and little did she know this was the day Nick was going to propose! After a very HOT night we thought for sure we would get to relax at our next stay in Sedona. Boy were we wrong! The Airbnb didn't have air conditioning and at that point it felt like we were sitting on the sun. We soon came to realize we needed a hotel! Of course they didn't have any rooms available. The front desk saw the defeat in Nick's eyes and thought the lady sitting in the office next door could help. After much chatter, she told us it was our lucky day and gave us a room for FREE! Most certainly there was a catch.... we had to sit through a 90 minute time share meeting the next day. At this point, Niki was suffering from heat exhaustion and the clock was ticking until proposal time, so yes, we signed our souls to the devil and got a hotel room. Stick with me here... We settled in, got ready and while driving to what Nick had mentioned as a "scenic picnic dinner" he was having bad cell phone reception and couldn't work out the last minute details for what he had planned. OH NO! Finally, we made our way to Lover’s Knoll that overlooks Cathedral Rock and here is where we wanted to have our dinner. Sneaky Nick, took out the ring box, Grant (his friend) came out of the bushes and photographed the proposal. Tears poured down like waterfalls and it was at that very moment we would spend the rest of our lives with each other, happily. From there dinner and celebratory drinks were had and here is where the story of his planning came into play. We couldn’t be happier and are over the moon! We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!
