Our love story is a simple yet life-changing one. We met through a mutual friend and it took a couple of video calls ...more like a long journey of phone calls, video calls, and even a compatibility test (hahaha...we are that deep). We found something special with each other and built a solid foundation with God being the centre of it all. We truly can't wait to create a lifelong story of friendship, true companionship and love.
In the Igbo language "Obi" translates to "heart". "Obi'm" translates to "my heart", Nkiru's nickname for Obinna while "Keys" is Nkiru's childhood nickname. Nkiru's mum had a special song for Nkiru when she was a baby which she would often sing to her. The song goes; "Now if I was to give you the keys of my heart, And say that we will never part, Will you marry, marry, marry, marry? Will you marry me?" According to Nkiru's mum, Nkiru absolutely loved the song! & she was nicknamed "Keys". Thus the hashtag was formed out of a marriage of the two nicknames... #keytomyheart
