I am one of the two middle children in the family (and the favorite child of course… a known fact) and the known long winded one of the bunch, as you can see. My mom married Danny when I was 10 years old, and I always say that I’m blessed not to have a STEPfather, but to have a SECOND father. One who has loved me like his own since the beginning (including the tough love like making me eat oatmeal before school when I absolutely hated it… good thing I love it now). My mom, my best friend, my confidante, my mama bear and the one who is ready to go to war for us whenever, wherever, and for whatever, works harder, loves harder, and goes harder than anyone I’ve ever seen in my entire life and she deserves the world, and I’m grateful that God gave her a partner on this earth that has given her that and more. Marriage brought this family together, but it was God Himself that unified these two and saw the greatness that would come from such a bond. Greatness that would overflow into all of our lives. Their love is inspiring, resilient, unwavering, steadfast, valued, powerful, respected, and hilarious (they think so at least). Through many trials and tribulations, and even more celebrations, their love has continued to withstand the test of time. Cheers to 25 years, and here’s to 25 plus 25 more! I work alongside my mom and Danny at our OBGYN practice, and in my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jamaal, learning new recipes and juicing!

We are Kelli and Roman. I was welcomed into the family in 2017 when Brian stole my heart with a smile that could light up any room and with his heart of gold. Together Brian and I brought Roman into the world giving Danny and Deka their most important titles yet, G-pa and DeeDee. Danny and Deka have been the glue that holds the family together through the good times and dark times. They are a consistent example of strength, wisdom, and love. We are thankful for the marriage they continue to grow and we wish them endless years of peace and happiness. May the Lord continue to bless them and hold them close.

I am the middle son of Danny and Njideka. Although people often mistake my father and I for twins there is no mistaking the love and appreciation I have for he and Deka. I have seen them experience so much together, from the highs to the lows but still remain committed and grounded by their love. I have been so blessed to see their love to grow and evolve throughout the years and I cannot wait to celebrate and experience their continued growth and commitment to one another! -Daniel Obiekwe

I, Jamaal Jemison, Onye Chimere Eze , am the husband of Ashley and son-in-law of Danny and Njideka Obiekwe. I met Danny and Njideka in the summer of 2020. Danny asked me “What is your business with my daughter?” I respectfully responded with what was obviously the right answer…or at least acceptable. Over time, Danny and I started watching football games together on Saturdays and Sundays, when I was off work. He’d enjoy humiliating me by always rooting for the opposing team. Sometimes, I would lie about who I wanted to win so he would actually be on my side. Sad, I know. Danny is a man that I look up to. He is one of the few people I seek when I am up against a trouble or in the failed clutch of circumstance. Mom is a woman that has always shown me a mother’s love. If I or Ashley have an issue, she is ready for war. Turn down for what? I love them both. Danny and Njideka, together, are the true definition of a power couple; 2 bosses. King and Queen. I wish them many more prosperous, happy years of life together. God has blessed them with 25 years of holy matrimony and I pray he blesses them with 25 more. Amen 🙏🏾

Taylor is Jamaal and Ashley’s daughter, and the bonus grandchild of Njideka and Daniel. She is a lover of all things fashion/cosmetics and animals, as well as Grey’s Anatomy and mid day naps. She aspires to become a Veterinarian one day.

I have always been a daddy's girl. I remember asking my 2nd grade class to call me "Nneka" instead of my first name, "Maya", simply because my father named me and I wanted the world to know. He's my best guy and a great father. But if there is one thing I can say with certainty - my dad became an even better version of himself when he married my step-mother. She helped to shape the man that he is today. There is no doubt in my mind that 25 years ago, my father married a good woman - the BEST woman for him. This love is indeed ordained by God. For that, I will always be grateful for this union and for my step mother, who has been a constant pillar of resilience and love not only for my father, but for our family. Cheers to 25 years! Here's to 25 more! We love you both!

Chukwuemeka is the youngest of the bunch. From clinging on to his dad’s leg to prevent him from leaving and going to work or accompanying his mom to the hospital to apologize to the babies for her causing pain during their circumcisions, Chukwuemeka has had the ability to learn love, compassion, and grace by observing the unconditional love that his parents have displayed with one another and throughout their daily interactions. His parents have molded a young man who not only is the glue to the family but they have molded a young man who uplifts those dear to him as they do for others. They have ingrained in him the importance of family which is a pillar that he holds dear in his life.
