Brought together by a mutual friend's birthday in scenic South Lake Tahoe, Sam and Kallee first laid eyes on each other on February 26, 2011 in the lobby of Harrah's resort and casino, as the two groups of friends were meeting outside of Club Vex. Sam was entranced immediately and knew this girl affected him like no one else before. Kallee felt an instant connection while the two managed to talk the night away as if they weren't in a noisy club. The crowds faded away and the world revolved on these two young lovers.

After an extensive planning period, Sam had all aspects of the proposal meticulously planned. Sam and Kallee were on the first day of their long awaited exploration of New York City, New York. The weather was overcast and windy, but that did not deter Sam from executing his best laid plans. The couple went to breakfast at Russ & Daughters next to Central Park (The desired destination for the proposal). Unbeknownst to Sam, this establishment was not only a classic bagel shop, but also a museum, and like any museum, requires a pass through security prior to entering. Sam, with the engagement ring is his pocket, fearlessly walked through the metal detector entrusting fate to keep the gate silent. And so it did as Sam passed silently through the security checkpoint and on to a relieved breakfast. After breakfast, Sam and Kallee made their way to a pre-planned point of Central Park, a specific peninsula, within the Ramble, that overlooked the famous Bow Bridge. Kallee immediately began taking pictures of the bridge at a distance, when suddenly, Sam turned her around, stared into her eyes and began reciting: "Love is patient and kind, love is not jealous or boastful, it is not arrogant or rude, love does not insist on it's own way, love does not rejoice in the wrong, but rejoices in the right, it is not irritable or resentful, love bears all thing, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things, love never ends, and Kallee Cherie Soule, I love you, today, and for the rest of my life, will you marry me?" Kallee smiled, teared, and accepted Sam's proposal.
