If you like walking, shopping, and eating, or all of the above the Country Club Plaza is the place for you! If you are staying at any of the hotels we recommended you can walk right to it. If you're looking for a good KC souvenir, take a look at MADE IN KC. It's a one stop shop for BBQ sauce, Chiefs merch, and KC momentos. Plus it's also a coffee shop, bar, and desert shop all in one!
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art
Home of the famous shuttlecock sculptures! If the weather is nice they have an art themed outdoor miniature golf course, as well.
Q39 - Midtown
Are you wanting to try KC BBQ while you're in town? Look no further, go to Q39! It's one of KC's most popular BBQ spots and our personal favorite. Not a fan of red meat? No worries, they have a variety of options, not just BBQ.
Tom's Town Distilling Co.
Looking for libations to wet your whistle? Visit Tom's Town and you'll be transported back in time to Kansas City during the prohibition era. Did you know KC was a "wet" city during prohibition? All thanks to a political boss who ruled the town named Tom Pendergast... you can learn more on their fascinating tour about alcohol AND Kansas City history. Or you can just stop by for a cocktail.
Boulevard Brewing Company
(For 21+) If you are a fan of beer or hard seltzers, you should definitely stop by Boulevard. You can grab a drink or a tasting flight at the beer hall and they even do tours (but we recommend booking it in advance).
