Niral met Deanna on his first day at the University of Michigan. They were both moving in to their new residence dorm and quickly became friends. At the end of their first year, Niral asked her out. Before long, they became inseparable and dated for 4 years between Deanna's field research in Colombia for her Ph.D. in Political Science and Niral's research for his Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering. In the midst of Covid, instead of putting their life on hold, Deanna and Niral decided to get married on July 27th, 2020 in South Bend, Indiana. It was an intimate ceremony with only siblings and parents in attendance. We're so happy that we get to celebrate our union with you all now! -- TL;DR: We met at UM. First day, our eyes met, and BLAM! LOVE!
