"In life, we gather to celebrate our cherished moments with family, friends, and loved ones. We owe so much of who we are to these incredible souls, and if you’re reading this, it’s because you are one of them.
In the fall of 2024, Niño faced the unimaginable loss of his mother, Mama Aida. She was a beacon of generosity, warmth, and kindness who made everyone feel loved. I cherish the tenderness she inspired in Niño, one of many reasons I fell in love with him.
The Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos) reminds us to celebrate life and honor those who have departed. From the light-hearted jest about Niño’s Costco tequila, courtesy of my Man of Honor, Johnny, to our wedding being in Oaxaca for the best tequila, it’s clear that God works in mysterious ways, guiding us to this enchanting city.
Our wedding is a union of love and a tribute to those we’ve lost. We will celebrate together, knowing Aida will join us from Heaven; we can’t wait to see you again, Mom."
