When should I RSVP by?

Answer

No later than April 2025 - Only so that you can secure your hotels. Seriously.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! 100%. Please see your RSVP. Wedding ceremony and reception will have daycare with 3 staff and activities. All ages welcome

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, our wedding planner has a few that range from $50 to $1,000+ USD/night. Please see the "Travel" tab on our website to view the link.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

SEMI-FORMAL with BOLD COLORS! Women: A cocktail dress with elegant accessories is suitable. Consider bold colors or intricate patterns that reflect the local culture. The ceremony location is on gravel and the rest of the event space will be on cement, opt for comfortable block heels or dressy flats (wear what makes you feel bonita!). Men: A suit in black or charcoal. You can add a pop of color with a patterned tie or pocket square.

Is there transportation to the ceremony from our hotel?

Answer

Yes, shuttles will pick you up and drop you off at a designated location in Centro, Oaxaca. If you miss these shuttles, any yellow taxi can bring you to the venue for $150pesos ($7USD)

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We will have a traditional wedding parade called a Calenda! This will happen on Thursday in the afternoon with the wedding party.

What is Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead)?

Answer

Día de Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday celebrated on November 1st and 2nd to honor deceased loved ones. It combines indigenous traditions with Catholic influences and includes creating altars (ofrendas) with photos, candles, and favorite foods of the departed. The holiday is a joyful celebration of life and death, where families remember and celebrate their ancestors, believing their spirits return to visit during these days. Iconic symbols include colorful skulls (calaveras), marigold flowers, and sugar skulls.

How do I get around Oaxaca, Mexico?

Answer

YELLOW Taxis are everywhere at all hours and are safe and easy to use. They do not cheat or deceive in Oaxaca. Remember to have pesos as they do not take card!

When should I book a hotel?

Answer

NOW. If you've RSVP'd and would like to book a hotel (not at the venue), please make your reservations ASAP. The city begins selling out 1-yr in advance. Stay in Centro, Oaxaca, northern half above Zocalo park

Is Centro Oaxaca safe?

Answer

Yes! Centro Oaxaca is beautiful and the people of Oaxaca are kind. Please be respectful when visiting during one of their most spiritual times of the year <3
