We're getting married!

We met through a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel in the Bay Area :) After some banter on the app, we decided to go on a first date in Sushi Tomi in Mountain View, California. We loved talking about our jobs, making dumplings, the Canadian iron ring, and mutual love for the outdoors. The conversation flowed easily & before we knew it, we'd been talking for over two hours. We even sealed the date with a kiss! We planned a second date almost immediately afterwords – and the rest was history.

Andrew surprised Nina with a full day of her favorite things. We traveled south to Gilroy for a farmers market, Carmel Valley for wine tasting and olive oil & vinegar pairings, and Carmel by the Sea for cheese and more wine. Around sunset, Andrew proposed on the beach with a ring pop – an inside joke as Nina didn't want an expensive ring. We closed off the night with a delicious dinner to celebrate! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Toronto!

We got legally married in a micro-wedding in my Nina's parents backyard with <10 people on Sept 5. In lieu of a sit-down dinner and cake, we swapped in Indian finger foods & cupcakes to minimize contamination between guests. We got ourselves Mr & Mrs face masks, which we still use today for grocery-store runs. And we lucked out on the weather as the weeks leading up to the event was filled with smokey air due to the CA wildfires. It was an intimate, special affair & we couldn’t be happier! We still hope you can join us for our bigger celebration in Toronto (planned for Sept 2021 - crossing our fingers 🤞 for the vaccine to work out!) And honeymoon in Japan in 2022 — send us your recs!
