For all of our Shakespeare fans! This is a super popular tourist destination, we recommend coming early morning if you wish to see it.
We absolutely adore this place and come here every single time (sometimes multiple times) while we are in town! We highly recommend coming here for lunch, dinner or even just to pop by and try a glass of wine in the alleyway! Top tip, make reservations for sit-down meals, as this place is insanely popular!
Definitely take some time to walk across this historic bridge! The Ponte Pietra is a Roman arch bridge crossing the Adige River in Verona. The bridge was completed in 100 BC, making it the oldest bridge in Verona. Plus, the views are stunning. Stop in Terrazza Bar al Ponte for a great view with great aperitivi prices!
Incredible ancient castle, it is free to roam around the garden and explore the structure, but we have linked the website to buy tickets if you wish to explore the museum!
Right in the middle of Piazza Bra, L'Arena is a beautiful amphitheater built during the Roman Empire in 30 AD. Fun fact, L'Arena is older than Rome's Colosseum and still functions today as a venue for many concerts, and famously, the annual Opera Festival. There happens to be one of the last shows of the season on the Friday of our wedding weekend with tickets starting at 40 Euros 👀
Amazing shopping street that will bring you throughout the city and connects between piazza's.
Classic Veronese food, under some ancient Roman arches. We have linked the website if you would like to make a reservation or learn more!
3-Michelin star restaurant, this is a "treat yourself" recommendation. The restaurant is inside these ancient Roman vaults and roads, a true historic and culinary treat. Linked here if you would like to reserve.
Slightly outside of Verona City Center, so if you have a rental, we highly recommend this spot! This family-owned restaurant hand makes tortellini all day long, and serve it to you fresh. It is such a special dining experience, and worth the trip in our opinion :)
