National Harbor provides access to activities like the MGM casino and the Capital Ferris Wheel -you can often see this 180 ft wheel from the sky when your flight arrives/departs DC.

Free timed-entry passes are required to visit this museum. Reserve your free ticket in advance to check out one of the most visited museums in the world. Note: renovations started in 2018 and are anticipated to be completed in July 2026. There is still a lot to see and experience at this museum, and of course unique shopping.
The Potomac Water Taxi is the only water-based public transportation option available in the D.C. metro area and provides one of the easiest modes of public transportation between The Wharf, Old Town Alexandria, and National Harbor.
The King Street Trolley runs every 15 minutes from 11 AM to 11 PM, 365 days a year. Riders can travel for free between the King Street-Old Town Metro and City Hall/Market Square. With stops every couple of blocks, it’s perfect for exploring all the shops, restaurants, and attractions Alexandria’s historic main street has to offer. King Street is 9 blocks from Hotel AKA Alexandria.
Hotel AKA Alexandria is close to several bus stops that take passengers to metro stations, and many other places. This link provides a route (about 10 minutes) from the hotel to the closest metro (Braddock Rd Metro Station).
Washington metro offers public transportation via rail and bus. You can use your smart phone as your ticket, or purchase physical tickets at rail stations. The “Braddock Rd Metro Station” is 0.7 miles from Hotel AKA Alexandria -that's a 6 minute Uber, 11 minute walk, or 6 minute e-bike ride.
