Paddle boarding, rafting, mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, zip lines, the WWC is a full day of outdoor activities! Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night the WWC hosts River Jam, a free outdoor concert series and it’s our favorite summer night activity!

The area is very walkable so you can easily hit multiple spots in one night. We also recommend Charlotte Beer Garden, Wooden Robot, Goldies, QC Pour House, and Dram & draught etc.
The Charlotte Rail Trail is an 11-mile pedestrian and bicycle path that runs parallel to the city's LYNX Blue Line light rail. It runs through multiple neighborhoods and along it are many shops and places to eat. We love walking the trail with a matcha in hand! We start either in South End or Optimist Park! Every Saturday morning (8am-1pm) there is a farmers market along the trail near the Atherton mall area. Theres always something new there!
A great area with shops, bars, dining, pickleball, and also is the spot where Nina goes for silent bookclub! Our favorite ice cream spot has a location here too! One of our favorite spots to grab a bite to eat, located in our old neighborhood. Optimist Hall is a large indoor/outdoor space with tons of food vendors offering different cuisines. We love coming here with a large group of friends, because everyone can get what they want! This space is easy to access off the lightrail at the Parkwood Ave stop.
