I do I do I do!

Nikki was working as an Apprentice at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, Pa at the time when she walked into work one day as Zack was leaving. The two traded some banter about D rated Cult movies and such and the spark was imminent. Flash forward to a few weeks later, Zack accused Nikki of not reading Moby Dick, and after a long, long "chat" that lasted long after 5 am, the two haven't stopped arguing since.

There is this adorable little diner in Fairmont, called the Poky Dot. For those of you familiar with it, this will be fun. So, Zack picked me up in his truck one day and said "I'm taking you somewhere." After a 40 minute drive (40. Minutes.) We arrived in this town and this restaurant. That looks like PeeWee and Sesame St. had a love child. Amazing food, adorable awkwardness and a missing scarf that some how disappeared into the wind somewhere between the truck and the front door. He ordered the "HE-MAN" breakfast. I ordered blueberry pancakes. You can see how this all is going to turn out.

So, after 4 failed attempts of making the worlds most romantic, cheesy, beautiful and all around spectacular proposal of the century, he finally got pissed off at the universe and just asked me flat out one morning. He was supposed to have the day off. Planning in his head this beautiful candle lit dinner, wine, all the stuffs right? Nope. Work called. He had to come in today. Last straw. I was getting ready for work, putting on make up or something and I asked him to do laundry before we go or some other task and he didn't respond right away, so I went to walk into the room and he was just there. On one knee, by the bed, with the ring, with a looped sunset of the China Walls which, by the way was plan C, playing on the tv. Waves crashing, birds making noise, my love in front of me. So at this point I'm like.... what? Yes. (He didn't ask yet) So then he goes into a little speech about loving me and just wanting to do it when it felt right. And I guess somewhere in there I asked him if I could have my ring already and now here we are. In love, and ready to start this adventure. Together.
