Getting to and from Whitefish: Flying: Recommend flying into Kalispell, which is just 15 miles south of Whitefish. Train: Departs from Minot, ND and arrives in Whitefish, MT - sit back and relax and let the conductor take the wheel. We plan to take the train out on July 19 and return July 24. Driving: For those that want to take the scenic route, driving is always an option. We recommend lodging on the mountain (about a ten minute drive into town). All wedding events will take place on the mountain. Whitefish Mountain Resort owns numerous condos, townhomes, and private homes which can be reserved with a 15-25% discount pending arrival date. There is no hotel option on the mountain, but if you want to stay in town, numerous hotels are available. Airbnb and VRBO are also a great option to find mountainside lodging. See "FAQs" page for more lodging details. *If you will need a rental car, it is recommended to book far in advance as they are limited in the area.

We took Amtrak out to Whitefish in December and had a great time. You are able to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages on board.

We will be staying at the Upper Village, which is recommended for guests who want to be within walking distance from all the resort's main attractions. A 15-25% discount is offered to all guests when booking by phone (406-862-1960) or online (book.skiwhitefish.com) with our wedding lodging promo code (FISHERSCHMIDT). 25% off is offered to any guests arriving Thursday or earlier. 15% off is offered to those arriving Friday or later. Reservations do not open until January 1, 2023 but we recommend you call Central Reservations at 406-862-1960 as soon as possible to be placed on a waitlist for your desired property. When booking opens in January, an agent will reach out to finalize your plans and payment.
