All things wedding related will take place at Whitefish Mountain Resort (WMR). The ceremony will be at the summit and the reception will be at the base lodge. A chairlift or gondola will be used to transport you up to the summit.
If you are staying at a WMR property, a shuttle will transport you to and from the wedding. You are always welcome to contact the lodging front desk to request a shuttle around the resort, with a 15-20 minute advance reservation, at any other time during your stay. Whitefish also has a free S.N.O.W bus which makes numerous stops downtown, as well as at the WMR Base Lodge and Upper Village. There is a free mobile app to track the bus's location - don't forget to allow enough time for the ride!
Our wedding planner mentioned day time temperatures are usually warm, around 80 degrees. Expect temperatures to be about 10 degrees cooler at the summit than what the town of Whitefish is forecasting. A light breeze is likely as well.
Our wedding planner recommends guests wear light layers and have a jacket with just in case as it can be cool in the shade and if a storm passes by it cools off quickly. She also strongly discourages spike heels and stilettos as there is loose gravel around the resort, especially at the summit.
