FAQs

The Wedding Website of Nikki MacCallum and Matt Vita
Question

What's the overall vibe of this wedding?

Answer

We’re aiming for a fun, celebratory, and relaxed atmosphere. If you’re looking for a formal black-tie affair, you may be at the wrong wedding. For us, this evening is all about being together with the people we love most.

Question

Is it open bar?

Answer

Obviously. Expect bottomless beer and wine.

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

Have you met us? For starters we're Jewish and Italian. That said, this is not a formal sit down dinner, it is cocktail hour vibes. You can expect heavy charcuterie, an intense cocktail hour spread, and a casual meal from one of our favorite New York vendors (TBD). Think: “I’ve had a lot of cheese and a few drinks—wouldn’t it be amazing if some mac n cheese or some rogue pulled pork, and maybe even a slice of pizza appeared…oh wait, it might” energy. An inappropriate amount of gourmet, assorted doughnuts may also make an appearance. We will update this as soon as details get ironed out.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Whatever makes you feel amazing! Think cocktail attire with Brooklyn rooftop, NYC skyline, Saturday night ambiance. But let’s be real—Big Dawg may not keep his shirt on the whole time. Please note this is an indoor/outdoor venue, and the ceremony will take place outside on the rooftop (weather permitting), so be sure to dress accordingly and stay warm.

Question

What if it rains?

Answer

We're F*&Ked. Just kidding—if it rains, the ceremony will move indoors, and the rooftop may be partially tented (TBD)… or we might all get a little wet but after a few drinks who cares? Don't worry we're only half serious.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kids—just not quite as much as you do… kidding! In all seriousness, with so many under age friends in our orbit and limited venue capacity, we’re only able to host an adults-only celebration. We hope you understand and can still join us for the day!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

As much as we would love to say otherwise, The W Loft has a strict legal capacity limit. To make sure we're able to celebrate with our family and closest long-time friends, we’re only able to accommodate the name(s) listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as you can! (Kidding… mostly.) But truly, because our venue has a strict guest capacity, we kindly ask that you RSVP by July 15th if possible. If you need a little more time, just let us know — we completely understand. And if you already know you won’t be able to attend, we totally get it (and still love you), and it would be incredibly helpful for us to know sooner rather than later. Thank you so much!

Question

Can I smoke?

Answer

Thank you so much for asking! The W Loft is a completely smoke-free venue—this includes cigarettes, cigars, vaping/e-cigarettes, weed, literally anything that produces smoke—both indoors and on the rooftop (and yes, they take this very seriously). If you’d like to smoke or vape, live your dreams—please just step downstairs to the street to do so. We appreciate you!

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Having you in our lives means so much to us—cliché, but true, and there’s no better way to say it. We also know many of you have traveled or made special arrangements to be here, and we’re deeply grateful. A gift is not necessary. If you’d like to give a gift, we’ve set up a “Next Chapter Fund” for the future we’re building together. But truly, your presence (and friendship) is more than enough.

Question

Will there be a Hora?

Answer

Great question! Yes. (But we’re in our 40s, so no chair lift—just the grapevine.)
