Clothes would be a good, initial starting point. Beyond that, recommended attire is semi-formal. So we're looking for perhaps a step above jeans but also want everyone to be cool and comfortable. Shoe-wise, just keep in mind the ceremony will (hopefully) be outdoors so you'll need to be comfortable walking in grass, preferable without aerating it too much. Indoors, the dance floor is laminate but the majority of the reception area is kinda fancy woodchippy.
Can you find one? ;-) Of course you can; if you're cool enough to be invited to our wedding, then assume you're cool enough to be able to find a date. But we did have a limit on folks we could invite so...if we gave you a plus one on the RSVP, then definitely. If we didn't, then congrats on the new permanent-enough addition to your love life! Give us a call or text and if we have room, we'd love to have them join.
We're all kids at heart, right? So definitely expecting that same, fun-loving attitude BUT only if you're 21+. Please no kiddos (or Animals) under the age of 21.
By 3:00pm at the latest please. Ceremony starts at 3:15pm so we'd like everyone corralled and ready to be seated ahead of then.
Plenty of parking! A parking attendant will be at the entrance to direct your car - you'll have the option of dropping guests off at the ceremony site before parking or going straight to the parking area. There'll be a golf cart transporting folks to/from car parking to the ceremony as desired. You're allowed to leave your car parked overnight so long as you pick it up by 12pm Sunday. So can carpool from the hotel to the venue if you don't want to take the shuttle, take the shuttle back to the hotel at the end of the night, then pick your car up in the morning if you'd like. Or, expecting that you won't drink enough to not drive but then get swept away by the love, laughter, and plethora of alcohol. There's the option to leave you car and guaranteed there'll be a way to get back to it in the morning.
Of course! We'll get the fun going at the hotel. There's a gorgeous indoor courtyard with A pool, lounge chairs and space for us to hang out, enjoy some late night pizza and libations, and keep the party going for as long as we'd like (at a reasonable noise level of course).
We've reserved a block of rooms at the Ramada Inn in Beaver Falls, which is about 25 minutes away from the venue. Apologies that we're getting married in the middle of no-where. There are a few venues ~20min away in New Castle, PA and Lima / Boardman, OH but they're guaranteed to not be as cool as the one we're at. We'll be offering shuttle service to / from the venue so folks can drink and not drive if desired.
Depends what you define as fun, but yes! A decent group of us will be at the hotel Friday night hanging out (there's a courtyard, bar, restaurant, lounge chairs, indoor pool). And before then some of us will be at the venue setting things up. Can almost guarantee it'll turn into a bit of a beer share not only Friday night, but maybe also Saturday morning for the guests (Jack and Nikki will be otherwise pre-occupied). If you're coming into town Friday and want to hang out, please drop us a line and let us know. :-)
You'll be fed... ... appetizers during cocktail hour (3:45pm - 4:45pm) ... dinner during the reception (~5:30pm) ... dessert (cake and cookie table) after dinner ... and perhaps another surprise snack or two We may add more information later if we feel like it.
Glorious. We'll have plenty of self-service non-alcoholic drinks (water, pop, tea, lemonade, coffee). And then plenty of bartender-served alcoholic drinks (beer, wine, liquor). We may add more specific later if we feel like it.
Call or text us to let us know (and mention it in your reception RSVP). We do have the ability to accommodate special requests to an extent - so let us know and we'll do our best to work with you.
You can give us a call or a text but no promises that we'll be the ones answering (that's what our I Do Crew is for!). Jack: 330-553-4662 ~ Nikki: 724-290-0122 We highly encourage you to text us memes, pics of cute animals, and other fun stuff the day of our wedding. We might not respond but we would definitely enjoy it. :-)
Yes. You'll mostly be on either gravel, grass, or really nice fancy woodchippy things - all of which is flat and transversable. There's also the ability to drop folks off directly at the ceremony site and then park to minimize walking / rolling.
This is where we all do to do our respective 'good weather' rituals and hope for a typical June day (which Google says is a low of 63, high of 80 and 30% chance of rain). Unfortunately the venue is not air-conditioned except for the bathrooms. BUT there are several mechanisms in place to help with the heat and airflow. So...fingers crossed!
We're working on it...so far the only one we have ready to share is with SoKind but we are putting together registries at Amazon and Walmart as well. Stay tuned and we'll publish it soon.
We're intending for all formal festivities (speeches, dinner, first dance, cake cutting, etc.) to be over ~6:30 / 7:00pm. That way folks won't miss out if they want to leave to drive home before dark.
