We are so grateful for Match.com - it brought two seemingly opposite, yet incredibly compatible people together! After Nikki's thorough online vetting process including many emails and phone calls, we had our first date at a wine bar in Chicago. It's always a question mark if "drinks" will turn into "dinner". In our case, we just kept drinking, talking and sharing stories. We completely forgot about dinner! By the end of our first date, we both knew that we wanted more. We explored many restaurants together, visited the botanic gardens (where Adam even brought the bottle of wine we drank on our first date!), went hiking in the snow and cooked together (though let's be honest, Adam is the chef!). We suddenly found ourselves inseparable and enjoying so many adventures together. Those local adventures turned into national adventures - traveling to Texas, California, Arizona, Utah, Michigan, Florida, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawai'i (!) - and then into international adventures - traveling to Mexico, France, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Finland, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, the Azores and Iceland. We knew if we could travel the world together, survive in small spaces and cramped cars, we could do anything together. So, after 3 years together we did what any normal couple would do... we sold our home in Chicago, road tripped across the USA and moved to California! Adam's first order of business once we arrived was proposing. It was the most gorgeous day at a winery in the Santa Cruz mountains and was the perfect way to bring us full circle back to our wine bar first date! When we thought about the perfect place to celebrate our love and get married, we knew there was only one option...a place that we have visited together before and that is pure magic - Hawai'i. We're so excited to be able to share this special place with our amazing family and friends! We know that you'll feel the aloha spirit and fall in love, too. - Nikki & Adam
