Question

What COVID-19 precautions are being taken?

Answer

As our much anticipated wedding weekend draws near, we wanted to ensure that all of our friends and family are able to join and celebrate in a safe and healthy way. We have reached out to all our guests to ensure they are fully vaccinated. In the spirit of safety, we will have temperature checks and brief screening surveys on-site at all of our wedding events. There will be ample hand sanitizer available and masks on site if you choose to use one. We will also have rapid COVID-19 tests available for those who wish to screen before, during, or after the events. We are working to make sure our guests have a great time while remaining safe and healthy. Please ensure your party is fully vaccinated prior to the events. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. We are excited to celebrate with each and every one of you soon!

Question

What hashtag should we use?

Answer

#ReddyToPatel

Question

What is a Baraat, and can I join?

Answer

You may have seen Indian wedding clips of a groom riding on an elephant or a horse and wondered: why is everyone dancing in the parking lot? This is the first part of the wedding called Baraat. Historically, the Groom and his family and friends would travel, singing and dancing, to the Bride's home. When the Groom’s caravan reaches Bride's home, everyone celebrates and dances in excitement for the next part of the Groom’s life. It is the Grooms one chance to be the center of attention before the Bride steals the show! The Groom is welcomed by the Bride's mother, and she blesses her future Son in Law. The Bride might also come out to welcome her Groom, but only if he's got the right moves! We hope that everyone (especially if you're on the "Groom’s" side) will join in the dancing as Sagar makes his way to the Ceremony. Please meet outside the Renaissance hotel at 9 a.m. sharp!

Question

I have never been to an Indian wedding- what should I wear?

Answer

Indian weddings are very bright and festive, so don’t be afraid to wear some color! At the Sangeet, you will see people wearing traditional Indian outfits like salwar kameez or sarees (ladies), sherwani or kurta (guys). For the Wedding Ceremony, you will see many people wearing Indian outfits as well. If you don’t have traditional Indian clothes, no need to worry – semi-formal attire including dresses, suits, and sport coats are all appropriate! Most people will change for the Reception as it is more formal. The evening Reception is black-tie optional – think suits, evening gowns, and cocktail dresses! For the ladies, a saree, lehenga, or kurta will work as well!

Question

What will the Reception in the evening be like?

Answer

The Reception will be a fun party with lots of food and drinks! Expect to dance a lot!

Question

Where is the After-Party?

Answer

Great question! The After-Party will be at Mesero in Legacy West starting at midnight after the Reception. It is just a short walk from the Reception at the Renaissance! For those who hate walking, the Bride would like to assure you the walking distance is only 0.1 miles! Mesero 7501 Windrose Ave D180 Plano, Texas 75024

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying at The Renaissance Hotel. This way you will be able to already be in the venue for the Wedding and Reception! The Renaissance Hotel is also right next to the After-Party! -Question: When should I book the hotel room(s)? Answer: ASAP! We have a hotel block reserved at the Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel for $149+ a night. Booking can be done effortlessly by clicking the Travel tab above. You can also call the hotel at 469-925-1800 to make your reservation. Be sure to mention the Reddy-Patel wedding block.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Self-parking is available at the Renaissance for $10/day and valet is available at $15/night with in-and-out privileges.
