Travel Note
We recommend flying into Milano Malpensa since that is the closest airport. This airport is located close to Lake Como making it easier to travel to the lake. Milano Linate is located closest to the center of Milan. This airport has great accommodations to Lake Como but best to fly into Milano Linate if you want to see Milan before our wedding. Bergamo Orio al Serio airport is the hardest of all the airports. We recommend to not fly into this airport since it can be a hassle to get to Lake Como. Step 1 – Milan Malpensa / Saronno or Milano Cadorna “Malpensa Express” is a train leaving from Malpensa Terminal 1 (below the Ground Floor / Arrivals area) to Milano Cadorna. Purchase your ticket to Como Lago. Frequency: approximately every 30 minutes Journey time from Malpensa to Saronno: 17 minutes. From Malpensa to Milano Cadorna: 29 minutes Cost of ticket: € 13.00 through Milan and € 8.00 through Saronno from airport to Como Step 2 – Saronno- Milano Cadorna / Como Change trains at SARONNO or MILANO CADORNA Frequency: Connecting trains to Como every hour Journey time from Saronno to Como: 39 minutes;journey time from Milano Cadorna to Como: 50 minutes Cost of ticket: Saronno/Como € 2.90/4.00, Milano Cadorna/Como € 4.80

a) Bus (easiest & cheapest) Buses depart just outside the train station. Use the exit toward the lakeside and you find the bus stop at your left. Tickets from the bus station ticket office. Frequency: approximately every two hours Journey time to Bellagio: 1 hour and 10 minutes Cost of ticket: € 3,70 Bus stop in Bellagio is on the lake, the closer to the centre is near the car ferry landing stage. b) Boat or Hydrofoil: (hydrofoil is the quickest means of lake transport) 5 minutes walk to the lakefront and boat ticket office (Cross the road to the lake opposite the station and turn left). Tickets to be purchased prior to boarding. Hydrofoil->Frequency: Every two hours – they are more frequent at lunchtime and early evening Journey time: 45/50 minutes - Cost of ticket: € 14per person Boat->Frequency: Infrequent service - Journey time: 2 hours- Cost of ticket: € 10 per person c) Taxi: You can book a taxi from Bellagio which will meet you at the arrival platform in the station.
Travel Note
If you are staying in Bellagio it will be easy! You can either organize a cab with your hotel or take the water ferry. 1. The water ferry is called Porto Bellagio. It is located 4-10 min walk from all the hotels we recommended. 2. Look at the time schedule attached here. The second schedule named Bellagio- Lecco is coming to the dinner and Lecco-Bellagio is going back to the hotel. a. The ferrys course will be Bellagio-Lierna-Limonta. b. Villa Aura is located in Limonta. The ferry ride will be 27 mins. c. The walk from Porto Limonta to Villa Aura is 7 min. 3. There are four ferries which are 83,85,93,95 that leave at different times of the day. Gior=daily, Fest=sunday /holidays a. You can take the 11:45 am, 16.55 (4:55 am), or 18.05 (6:05 am). Those are the only times available.
