Please take American airlines or Delta airlines right now. Also, your flight has to be from NY ( JFK, LGA) not from Newark, and land in Milan ( Malpensa airport). If you decide to take different airlines a 10-day quarantine will be required.
YES but not the vaccine! Even if you are vaccinated you need to take three covid tests. First test- 72 hours before your trip Second test- Before exiting the airport in Milan. Third test- Before bordering your plane to come back to the USA. It is your decision where to get the first test done but the other two need to be done in Italy and will cost 50 euros.
When it comes to booking, the earlier the better especially for flights. The flight usually come out around July/August 2020. You can get a tracker on google flights to see an eye out on the prices. As for accommodations that can be done in September/ October. We will try to get a group discount for a hotel for our wedding planner. You can also look into package deals, hotels, and Airbnb.
