Nikey's side of the story

He spoke it into existence

We met at our mutual friend's wedding. Tony was the Best Man. I was the hairstylist and close friend of the bride. During his speech, he declared that he would meet his wife that night. Of course, I thought those words were those of a player trying to score at the end of the night. I thought to myself " I am staying away from that guy." I tried to stay out of his way throughout the night, but I saw him near me at every turn on the dance floor and by the bar. He was #LIT #AF, and I like a good time, so I played along and enjoyed dancing. I attended the wedding solo, so during Kompa, I went to sit with my parents. Tony came and got me, not by asking me to dance but by taking my hands and leading me to the dance floor. He merely said, "Let's go dance." It happened so fast that I didn't have a chance to think, react or decline. During the dance, he opened up by telling me something odd and personal about a nickname that was given to him by his friends. I burst into laughter knowing that I was once given that same nickname by friends for different reasons. I immediately let my guard down and indulged his shenanigans. Our humor was so similar that I knew we would become friends. Tony later noticed my freckles and told me that I was beautiful, that he loved my freckles and for that reason I was not allowed to look at him (Silly right). Let's just say that this was the oddest and funniest compliment I have ever gotten. Although Tony complimented me heavily he did not ask for my number. We became IG friends. The day after I needed to know something. I knew Tony could help with, so I messaged him! Or should I say that I slid into his dm! Well, he clearly needed an opening, so I gave it to him lol. He replied immediately and said "Hi freckles". Tony was so sweet and direct about his intentions that I was caught up in the total euphoria feeling like I was living in a romance novel. I knew deep down inside that this man had captured my heart before our first official date.

Tony's Side of the story

All I do is win no matter what

We met at my best friend's wedding where I was honored to be the best man. I had been single for a while, so I had planned the most epic speech in order to grab the ladies attention. In all honesty, the little details of that night are blurry as the drinks were flowing before the party started, but all you need to know is that I was ready to execute "operation conquest". In all seriousness, I was sincere about my feelings of wanting to meet my future wife that night, but I also knew that including those remarks in my speech would help me with the ladies. Let me be clear, I did pretty well that night... However, God had a different plan because when I laid my eyes on Nikey, I was conflicted. She ruined my plans! I wanted to be a player and give my attention to more women, but I was drawn to her in a way that I couldn't comprehend. At some point during the night, they started playing Konpa and I had to find her. I was not ready to let the night end without getting her to myself. I knew that by making her laugh she would be more at ease, so I turned on my inner "Ti Bato" and made her laugh the whole time we shared our "first dance". When the light came on at the end of the night, she was even more beautiful than I originally noticed. Her unique freckled features particularly drew me. Hence my nickname for her, Freckles. In the effort of not appearing thirsty, I played it cool. Instead of asking for her phone number, I asked for her IG and FB (Y'all peep the game?). I knew that would throw her off. The day after the wedding Nikey slid in my DM. Y'all still taking notes fellas, lol? Nothing she asked me mattered. I just knew that I had her in my net and there was no way I was going to let her go. We consistently spoke for two weeks and the more we chatted, the more I liked her. We shared the same sense of humor and our conversations were effortless. I felt something different and refreshing. Two weeks later we had our first date. Now we are inviting you to our wedding.
