Travel Note
The easiest airport to fly into and out of will be the Cabo airport. La Paz is about two hours north, but the drive is beautiful! There are many rental cars or shuttles available. We highly recommend making sure your rental agreement includes the mandatory insurance. We found it was easier to do through the online booking directly with the rental agency instead of something like expedia. La Paz is highly walkable, in the area we are staying in, but the beach we are getting hitched at is about 20 minutes away. There is an airport in La Paz, but all flights seem to route from Mexico City.
Travel Note
La Paz is a beautiful, little city on a bay. Its on the Sea of Cortez side of Baja. We recommend staying in the Zona Central or Esterito areas of town. There is a huge waterfront street with so many amazing restaurants, bars, cafes, and stores that you can walk around. We spent our last vacation here sitting outside at a number of these restaurants watching the locals Maleconando-ing. Locals will drive their cars up and down the main street blasting their favorite music. We would also recommend staying a few streets back from the main road.... where its a little quieter.
Travel Note
After a lot of thought and consideration, we have chosen to forgo a room block at a hotel. Everything is very close in the Zona Central or Esterito, which is where we recommend staying. The city has many wonderful accommodations and we want everyone to stay where they are most comfortable. We have added a places that caught our eye and there are many Airbnb in the area.
Hotel
This is close to the action, but can be loud. This is where we stayed when we fell in love with La Paz.
Hotel
A little farther from the malecon, but a little quieter too!
