Fly into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). It's the closest airport to the resort and has direct flights from many major US cities including Phoenix (2.5 hr flight), Chicago, New York, Dallas, Los Angeles.
The easiest option is a private transfer or uber from the airport directly to the resort. It is a 30 min drive. We recommend booking a private transfer in advance for a smooth and stress-free arrival either through the hotel or any third party website. More details on recommended transportation options to come!
YES! A valid US passport is required to enter Mexico. Please make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. If you don't have one yet, we recommend applying as soon as possible as processing times can vary. US citizens do NOT need a visa to travel to Mexico.
An all-inclusive means your stay covers accommodations, meals, drinks, and most activities (on land and sea) — all included in one upfront price. No need to worry about pulling out your wallet while at the hotel! It's the easiest and most relaxing way to travel!
Use our room block booking link (see Travel/Room Block section) to reserve your room at our guaranteed group rate — the best available rate for our wedding dates, exclusively for our guests! Our room block is first-come, first-served, so book early! Once block rooms are gone, remaining availability will be at the hotel's standard rate, which may be significantly higher. Please book by August 15, 2026 to guarantee your spot at the group rate. After this date, we cannot guarantee room availability or pricing. A minimum 3-night stay is required. Group rates are available for arrivals as early as January 24 through February 4, 2027, subject to availability.
We strongly recommend staying at the resort with us! Guests who are not staying at the resort will be required to purchase a day pass each time they enter and leave at $120. If attending all 4 events this adds up to $480 per person. Staying on property is truly the best experience and keeps you in the heart of all the celebrations.
Only the people listed on your invitation are invited to attend our events due to limited capacity. We have carefully curated our guest list and kindly ask that you do not assume plus ones or additional family members are included unless explicitly noted on your invitation. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us directly!
January is one of the best times to visit Puerto Vallarta! Expect warm, sunny days with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s°F and cool, comfortable evenings. Sunscreen is highly encouraged! Basically paradise.
Between celebrations, our hotel has you fully covered. The resort boasts 10 restaurants and bars (from teppanyaki and sushi at Tamari to a seaside grill). Spend your days at one of four pools, lounge on the private beach, take a yoga or fitness class, go kayaking, or treat yourself to a massage at Vita Mar Spa (not included in your hotel fee). Excursions such as ATVing, ziplining, and cruises are also available to purchase at the concierge desk. January is also prime whale and dolphin watching season, so keep your eyes on the ocean! Safe to say you won't be bored!
Absolutely! Just 10 minutes away is Malecón- a stunning oceanfront boardwalk lined with restaurants, bars, local shops, art sculptures, and street performers. It's the heart of the city and a must-see. A 3 min taxi ride will get you there, making it the perfect afternoon adventure between wedding events. Head over to our Things To Do Page for other fun places to explore!
YES!! Puerto Vallarta is one of the most visited and well-established tourist destinations in Mexico with a strong tourism infrastructure and a welcoming local community. The resort area is safe, well-staffed, and monitored. As with any international travel, we recommend using common sense, staying in tourist-friendly areas, and keeping your belongings secure. We would never ask you to travel somewhere we didn't feel completely confident about — we can't wait to celebrate with you there!
Yes! Puerto Vallarta is very tourist-friendly, and U.S. dollars plus major credit cards are widely accepted at most hotels, restaurants, and shops. We still recommend carrying a small amount of pesos for tips, taxis, and smaller local vendors but not a necessity.
Hyatt Ziva has a supervised Kids Club for children during daytime hours, but the resort does not officially offer late-night babysitting services. Please visit their official website for more information :)
