As freshmen in college in 2010, Nicolle and Isaac were randomly assigned the same dorm. They became friends and spent several weekends in the summer of 2011 together sleeping outside of Amoeba Records, going on runs, and visiting a parkour gym. They started having feelings for each other and the stars finally aligned on April 1, 2012 when they first started dating. Their first date was a Sleigh Bells concert at the Fox Theatre in Pomona.

In January of 2021 Nicolle and Isaac took a trip with Nicolle’s parents to the Island of Hawai’i. They spent the trip eating some excellent food, chilling by the beach, and enjoying a stay at a chocolate farm. On January 4th they took a day trip to the summit of Mauna Kea (the tallest mountain in the world from summit to base, just FYI). Just before sunset, Isaac gathered everyone at the edge of the mountain. When Nicolle turned her back Isaac knelt down and popped the question! Hawai'i will always be a special place to us.
