If you visit Park Avenue in Winter Park, you’ll find charming boutiques, a museum, and some of the area’s best dining. It’s the perfect spot to shop, grab a coffee, or enjoy a relaxed afternoon outdoors. Below, we’ve included details about the museum and one of our favorite restaurants.
Take a relaxing cruise on the Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour, a charming ride through beautiful lakes and past historic homes just minutes from downtown Winter Park. It’s a fun and unique way to experience the area’s history and scenery. Be sure to call ahead to reserve your spot!
If you love art (and beautiful glass!), don’t miss the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park. The museum is home to an incredible collection of Louis Comfort Tiffany works, including stained glass, lamps, and jewelry. It’s a peaceful and inspiring spot.
Some of you may have heard of Gators Dockside, but it was a staple in the early days of our relationship. This Central Florida favorite has one of the most scenic locations, right by Lake Baldwin. Be sure to enjoy a walk around the lake before or after indulging in their famous fried pickles and chicken wings!
If you’re looking for a foodie and shopping adventure, East End Market is a must-visit. It’s a market hall featuring a variety of local vendors and artisanal shops, all in a bright, walkable space. You can grab a bite at Domu, which is inside the market and absolutely delicious, or stop by Gideon’s Bakehouse, the original location (now also at Disney Springs) for some legendary cookies. After exploring the market, you can stroll along the surrounding streets, which are lined with charming shops, boutiques, and cafes, perfect for a leisurely afternoon.
If you’re a fan of local brews, Sideward Brewing is a must-visit. We love their sours, and Ryan is a big fan of the chicken Caesar wrap. It’s his go-to spot whenever his dad is in town! This is one of our favorite local breweries, perfect for grabbing a drink, enjoying some good food, and soaking in the laid-back Florida vibes.
Of course, no trip to Orlando would be complete without a little Disney magic! Nicolette’s favorite park is Epcot, while Ryan loves Hollywood Studios — or Magic Kingdom if fireworks are involved. We’re planning a group Disney day for all wedding guests who want to join! Mark your calendars for Monday, November 9th, and we’ll share more details on the event page once everything is finalized. It’ll be a fun way for everyone to celebrate together after the big day!
If you’re a Nintendo fan, we highly recommend checking out Epic Universe! Yes, the price is a little outrageous… but honestly, it’s worth it. Let us know if anyone plans to go ;) the other stuff at the park was alright, lol.
We went for a sunrise kayak, and it was absolutely beautiful! Kings Landing is a kayak and canoe launch located in Rock Springs, Apopka, about an hour from Orlando. It’s surrounded by some of Florida’s natural springs, making it a truly scenic spot. Yes, there are gators, but don’t worry, they don’t interact with you. We went as beginners on the sunrise guided tour, and it was an unforgettable experience!
Kelly Park is part of Rock Springs in Apopka, FL. It’s a beautiful state park with free-flowing natural springs where you can go tubing. Depending on the weather at the time of year, tubing may be possible — but even if not, the park offers gorgeous hiking trails that are just as scenic.
