We met in Great Falls, Montana in 2023 when Corey was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base and Nicolette was working for a small nonprofit through AmeriCorps. In April, we met for the first time through mutual friends at our favorite bar in town, Magpie. Our first date was a few weeks later at Annie's Tap House, where we ended up talking for hours over beer and then dinner, chatting about '1776' by David McCullough, family genealogy searching, and favorite D.C. museums. From that point on, we pretty much became inseparable (it helped that Corey's apartment was significantly nicer than the 1970s time-capsule of Nicolette's place). We spent the spring and summer galavanting around the American West, spending countless weekends exploring the National Parks of MT and WY, and many weeknights watching Jeopardy and cooking Italian and Greek classics. In July, Corey moved to England for his next position in the Air Force, and Nicolette followed in September. Corey proposed Thanksgiving Weekend 2024, on a roadtrip through the Scottish west in front of 600-year-old Kilchurn Castle. The weekend was spent exploring Scottish mountains and towns, Scrabble, pubs, and fireplaces. Now, after two years of traveling (14 countries, see our gallery for pics from our travels!), we currently live in Denver with our two cats, Cashew and Margot. Our engagement session was taken at the National Gallery of Art just after Christmas 2025.
