Biltmore Estate
The Biltmore Estate is America's largest privately-owned home, built by George Vanderbilt, and construction was finished in 1895. You can tour the house, surrounding gardens, and visit the Antler Hill Village where the Biltmore Winery is located
Mount Mitchell State Park
Mount Mitchell is the highest peak of the Appalachian Mountains and the highest peak in mainland eastern North America. You can either hike or drive near the top of the mountain. From there, you'll have a 360-degree view of the beautiful scenery
Grandfather Mountain
Grandfather Mountain is a 5,946-foot tall mountain known for its scenic views, hiking trails, and mile high suspension bridge. The bridge is America's highest suspension footbridge and gives 360-degree panoramic views.
Blue Ridge Parkway
Spanning close to 470 miles along the southern and central Appalachians, the Blue Ridge Parkway makes for a beautiful drive. Along the way, there are ample scenic overlooks to enjoy views of the surrounding valleys.
Historic Grove Park Inn
The historic Grove Park Inn was built in 1913 and has a western-facing slope of Sunset Mountain. You can enjoy food and drink with views on the Sunset Terrace, walking around the landscaped grounds, and taking a seat on the rocking chairs in front of the 36ft wide fireplace.

You probably know them from the nationally famous Fat Tire ale, New Belgium is a brewery with a massive outdoor space located along the French Broad River. We visited New Belgium on our first trip to Asheville together to unwind after our encounter with the bear from our hike.

If you're looking to get in the Halloween spirit and enjoy some of the best cocktails in Asheville (the bartenders will even craft something from scratch for you), this is the perfect place.
