Our story started in February 2024 with a local hike in Raleigh. With conversations of travel and our love of the outdoors (and hearing more about Cleveland in a one hour period than Michael knew was possible), time passed quickly and it was clear to us that this first date felt different than any other. When it came time to plan a first trip, no place felt more true to us than Asheville. The weekend was filled with beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, our favorite breweries, and of course a hike (but little did we know that Nikki would be the one to stay more calm when we were standing feet from a bear). On a family trip to Switzerland in 2024, Michael did a hike overlooking a lake with picturesque views of the Matterhorn. After that trip and for the next year, all Michael could think about was taking Nikki to that spot for the perfect proposal. Fast forward to September 2025 and we found ourselves there with Michael down on one knee. Mountains and hikes became a staple of our relationship and we can't wait to celebrate with you in Asheville!
