Hi everyone! We are still monitoring the situation closely for our special day. Thankfully, after Andy tapped his dancing shoes twice and wished really hard, the wicked witch of Michigan is officially letting us say “I Do” July 18, 2020. That being said, we are in constant contact with Tabor Hill and will continue to evaluate the situation should anything come up. We have spoken with our vendors and additional sanitary precautions have been put into place - the serving staff will be wearing masks and gloves. With the Michigane governor’s new order we ask you to please bring a mask with you. If you forget, we will have a few disposable ones available. If you are feeling unwell we encourage you to stay home - were happy to provide you a zoom link to watch the wedding remotely. We have added a question to the RSVP asking for your email, please update if you have not done so. This will allow us to communicate any updates to you easier. Love, Andy and Nicole
It started out just like every year does around the 4th of July festivities... Fun with friends and family, get togethers, festivals and BBQ’s and of course all of the legal and illegal fireworks that are being set off in the distance as far as the eye can see. Then... it happened. The dating app notification that rocked our worlds. BOOM! It’s a match! Now usually this is the point where a would be online dating love story ends... A lame pickup line to start the convo, a few getting to know you messages back and forth, finding out the person on the other end doesn’t look like their pictures, they live in their moms basement, or God forbid they don’t like who you voted for. Any one of these could send a potential soul mate running. Not for Andy and Nicole, on July 3 rd the sparks were flying and their story was just beginning. Unfortunately, for us our love story had to take a 2 week break right away. Yes after Nicole made me ask for her number in less than 30mins... I then had to keep her attention through text messages for two weeks while she was in Minnesota with her family dropping her nieces and nephews off at camp. It would be two, long, weeks... Before Nicole would trip and we’d fall head over heels for each other. Although to this day she denies that she tripped... and to this day I maintain that she did. *Disclaimer* There may or may not have been evidence of a puddle to dodge outside of that restaraunt a year later on our one year “onlineaversary”. In the end, it makes no difference if we walked or ran, tripped or fell. What made a difference in our lives was that this night was the first of many nights that we have spent together. Nights where we stay up way too late, talk for way too long, have way too much fun together and, of course, drink way too much wine. We look forward to adding another chapter of our story with you all.
