Things To Do

TIPS
Government Shutdown: Unfortunately, many of the museums are closed because of the shutdown. But, the city still has lots to explore!
Metro: A red line stop is right outside the hotel (stop "Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan"). The red line goes downtown and will let you connect with other lines. No specific transit card is needed, just tap a credit card.
Lunch on the National Mall: Besides food trucks, try Cascade Café in the National Gallery of Art (cafeteria-style).
TOURISM
National Mall: Monuments are visible for a walking/biking tour.
U.S. Holocaust Museum: Remains open. Free but get advance tickets here: https://www.ushmm.org/information/visit-the-museum/admission-tickets

OTHER
Eastern Market (Sat. 9a-3p): Farmers market with fresh produce, fun foods, and crafts. It's across town from the hotel in Capitol Hill. Uber or Metro (red line to orange/blue line).
