We're getting married!

After returning from a study abroad program, Nicole had zero interest in dating anyone. But her best friends, Tristan and Marie (who Nicole will forever know as Tiff), kept talking about their new friend Roshan whom she soon met while hanging out at the Starbucks where he worked. After always ending up in the same places, we one day found ourselves talking about a book Nicole read for the first time--Frankenstein. We began discussing the most important questions of humanity: Nature vs Nurture Who's better? Batman or Spider-Man? you get it. What has followed has been ten years of adventures together-- from moving into our first apartment in LA, Roshan becoming an adoptive dog dad (though he insists he raised Peanut from the beginning), traveling and exploring countries like Spain, France, Canada, the UK, moving across the country and finding our new home in Brooklyn, saying goodbye to the goodest boy, and welcoming our two new fur babies. And now it's time for a new chapter!

We went back to where we had our first date, The Huntington Gardens in Pasadena. After walking through the gardens for a while, Roshan suggested heading home and began walking toward the garden entrance. He took a bit of a round-about way to the entrance, and suddenly suggested that he needed a slight break to rest. He sat down with Nicole and began to remind her of the first date they had there, and how they had spent hours sitting on a bench that day just talking. The very same bench they were sitting on now...and the very same bench is where he proposed to her! Spoiler: We had actually gone shopping for the ring over Christmas break and had been discussing marriage for years-- but the time and place was a definite surprise. Luckily our Best Man was given a 5-second heads up and was able to capture it on camera!
