The Resort at Longboat Key Club

We are so excited for our friends and family from all over the country to get the opportunity to not just spend one chaotic wedding night together, but a vacation at a beautiful, beachfront resort. Our goal is to spend as much time with our loved ones as possible, which is why we highly encourage everyone to stay on the property as we are hosting all of our wedding weekend events on-site. There’s no shortage of things to do at the Resort at Longboat Key Club. The resort sits on a secluded barrier island on the Gulf of Mexico, which offers ample opportunity to explore 410 acres of beachfront, water activities, excellent golf courses, award-winning tennis, a relaxing spa and lively pool space. Due to the resort's strict policy, in order to be on property, enjoy the amenities and hang around the wedding party you NEED to be a guest of the resort. Otherwise, you will only be able to attend the welcome party, wedding ceremony and reception. The resort is extremely strict on this policy and will be enforcing it regardless of situations. Flight

Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) or Tampa International Airport (TPA)

The two best airports to fly into are SRQ and TPA. We highly recommend flying into SRQ as it is conveniently ~20min drive to the resort, however, it is a smaller airport so it is more likely you will have a layover and the flights tend to be slightly more expensive depending on where you are traveling from. TPA is a great option as it has a lot more direct flight options at reasonable rates, however it is ~1 hour drive to the resort from the airport. (There are many options from Ubers, car services and bus rental for this ride.)

Alternative Hotel Options

For those who make the decision to not stay on property at the resort, there are 2 others options that are owned by the same group. (1) Zota Beach Resort and (2) Cirque St. Armands Beachside. If you want to go other alternative routes, there are a handful of hotels in downtown or Air BnB options as well. Given the discount we have secured at the resort along with the convenience and luxury of spending the weekend together we encourage everyone to stay on property if possible. However, we have also secured a small block with a good discount at The Zota as well for folks where price is prohibitive. (Keep in mind this is about a 15 minute ride down the road.) Travel Note

Childcare Services

We know lots of our guests will be treating the trip as a mini vacation so we anticipate a good amount of children joining us. Our venue kindly partners with a great group called Elite Family Care who are a local childcare family owned company who do extensive background checks and have raving review for the last 10 years. We encourage all of the parents to check that out! The Elite team members are very familiar with the LBK resort property and are keen to come on site and take care of the kids in the comfort of their room + also let them enjoy the resort amenities under their supervision until bed time.
